Birds are nature’s greatest musicians, and tonight we’ve got a whole aviary: from Vaughan Williams’ beloved Lark Ascending to Rossini’s kleptomaniac magpie. And we travel to the land of the midnight sun for Rautavaara’s haunting Cantus Articus – in which the birds themselves are the soloists.
